Re: COMMISSIONS
10/02/09 - COMMISSION STATUS:
  • Pretty full! :B If waiting a bit is all right by you, feel free to reserve a spot in November or December.
  • On all color works I've raised the prices by 5 dollars *nervous gulp*, as in recent months I've been working a lot more detailed and taken more time on each piece. If you'd like my older, simpler style for the older price, just let me know!

View this Calendar thing to see what I'm up to. *Calendar disclaimer: This thing runs my life, but sometimes life gets the better of it and it becomes more of a loose work-guideline.*

AS OF SEPTEMBER, THERE WILL BE A $40 MINIMUM FOR ALL ORDERS. This may not end up being permanent, but right now I'd rather that every project account for at least half a day's work. :B

HOW TO ORDER
  • When ordering, please state:
    • # of figures, if you want a background or not
    • What style are you selecting from below, and whether or not it will be hand-drawn and shipped to you (if eligible - $5)
    • And of course, what the picture is all about!
  • Are you paying by Paypal (2.9% tax added, 2.5% currency conversion if not paying in USD) or with a money order? I do not accept checks!
  • Is this image's use personal (a gift/your own enjoyment) or commercial (ie: you intend to profit off image; I add a 10-20% one-time 'royalty' fee.)?   Note that I may post your work online - if this is a surprise gift for someone, I'll happily delay the post.
  • Before beginning, I'll reply with a solid estimate; if it is agreed upon and you're using Paypal, you may either
    • Pay a non-refundable deposit of 10.61 now (10 dollars + paypal fees) and pay the remainder after you approve the preliminary sketch, or
    • Pay the full amount up-front, after which I send you a sketch and make your requested revisions. If you decide after the preliminary sketch that you don't want to commission the full picture, I will refund all but 10.61.
  • After final approval (and payments if any) all that's left is to await the finished product!

MISC
  • Editing work to your Satisfaction:
    • The prices above are estimated for $10 an hour  (often less), for what is my full-time job.   Please be respectful of my time, and I will put as much quality as possible into each of those hours.
    • For most work a preliminary sketch WILL be shown to you for review.  It is at this stage that you must request edits, not when the picture is in progress/completed!   The only edits I will make for a finished picture must be minor or color-specific (ie: the eyes are the wrong color, I forgot to include an important detail, I gave a character six fingers...etc).   I won't say...re-draw a stance, limb, or add props/clothing never mentioned prior!
    • I do understand that my preliminaries are vague, so if you're unsure about a particular detail I will happily address your concern with more preliminary work. Please consider that the preliminary sketch stage is not a dressing room for your characters - if you request edits, ask for them all at once instead of requesting one alteration, then at a later time asking for another change...then another.
  • Nudity/Violence: Blood and artistic nudity are A-OK!  Gore and pornographic imagery are not.
  • Styles and Anatomy:
    • Please allow me to draw in my own style!  :\_/   My view of anatomy may vary from yours, and I ask that you accept my stylistic interpretation of the body type (or, if it's a problem then it must be addressed in the preliminary stage).
    • I hope none of these sound snooty; after all, the point is to deliver work  that you'll enjoy!  I just want to stop being in the habit of altering my...uh..."artistic perspectives" for everyone elses' varied commissioned works.  With over a year of freelancing by my versatility, I now ride off into the sunset to hunt for my style.   Saddle up!
