HOW TO ORDER
  • When ordering, please state:
    • # of figures
    • If you want a background or not
    • What style are you selecting from below
    • If eligible, whether or not it will be hand-drawn and shipped to you ($5)
    • And of course, what the picture is all about!
  • Are you paying by Paypal (2.9% tax added, 2.5% currency conversion if not paying in USD) or with a money order? I do not accept checks!
  • Is this image's use personal (a gift/your own enjoyment) or commercial (ie: you intend to profit off image; I add a 10-20% one-time 'royalty' fee.)?
  • Artistic Nudity/Violence: Use what I've posted in my deviantart gallery or this Livejournal for an idea of what content is A-OK!
  • Based off your order form I'll reply with a solid estimate; if it is agreed upon, I'll draw the preliminary sketch then ask for payment. All that's left is to await the finished product!

I should once again commission you to get your shiney hiney up here and chillax with me!

I'd have to see when all my roommate would be going back home and coordinate with my work schedule. She's always gone by Friday afternoon when she's going home so you could roll on in then and not have to leave until Sunday. The genius of this plan is that you won't totally freaking fall asleep in the middle of the day again!

Yaaay!

i run a local screen printing business- most of our clients are bands from the region. we're not artists by any means so when we are asked for designs we usually refer out to graphic artists we know. what would your price range be for designs? can i refer people to the email you listed?

also, t-shirt designs are slightly different from regular artwork. do you use photoshop or illustrator? to print on a t-shirt every color of the design must be seperated into a different layer and then made black. if you can do that with your designs, great. if not we can handle changing the format of artwork.

For T-shirt design I'll set my range at 50-100 dollars, and yes, I am Illustrator/Photoshop capable. And sure, you can refer people to my email or livejournal. Whatever you please!

I might commission you for an image or two if I have the money. There's a comic I want to get off the ground, and I'm thinking that some drawings of what the characters could look like might help it get some added notice.

Just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for stopping by the table at MC (even if it was unintentional.) Again, if you want to hang out and play video games or do art, you know where to find me. :)

Oh snap!

I'm glad you commented, I meant to add you but I haven't fooled with LJ in a few days. It was awesome getting to talk to someone who was not only a familiar LJ-face, but a Tally local. I hope the table stuff went well for you!

it did! I got rid of all of the promotional stuff that I brought, sold a few minicomics and got about $70 in tips for sketches.

Seriously, you should totally consider doing cons. The girl across from me who was doing anime/manga influneced stuff was pulling in soooo many people, and your stuff is way better than hers!

Do you have any interest in sequential stuff and/or what would your page rate be?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[info]soap_committee
2007-08-22 10:04 pm UTC (link)
I do! My rates depend on details and stuff, but here's the general idea:

Penciling = 50, + linework = 75 + colors = 100.

If I were inking off someone else's pencils, 25 dollars, if I'm coloring someone else's work, 40 dollars.

I know of a local comic statup looking for talent. I was just hired on as a writer, if you are interested let me know. They are looking to start up a small sales front/coffee place in town.

Thanks for the notice! If I were staying in town I'd have found that to be a great opportunity, but I'm now moving on to Central Florida to work with my art-partner.

Good luck with the writin'!

Wow, expensive commissions and offers to work
on t-shirts and comic books. When did you get
so popular. I'd say I was jealous, but that'd
just be stating the obvious. Your new art is
really rad.

I laughed at the commission availability code.

How soon would you be able to get on a commission? I didn't want to commission from you again for a while since most of what I want is Rosa and I don't want to ask you to do too many of her too soon, but there's a colored sketch idea I have for her. I'd just really want her to be more feminine this time around if you accept. :)

I'd be able to do something like a colored sketch today, easy! But by more feminine, do you mean the previous pictures weren't feminine enough?

I sent an E-mail to continue this, in case you check LJ more regularly than Gmail! As I said in E-mail (keeping it short for the comment), I feel like the previous pictures were feminine enough for it being obvious she's a woman, but I envision Rosa being more feminine than that. She's a noblewoman, so I think she would be gentler and softer.

Funny quote
(Anonymous)
2008-05-09 12:47 pm UTC (link)

This is an especially good time for you vacationers who plan to fly, because
the Reagan administration, as part of the same policy under which it
recently sold Yellowstone National Park to Wayne Newton, has "deregulated"
the airline industry. What this means for you, the consumer, is that the
airlines are no longer required to follow any rules whatsoever. They can
show snuff movies. They can charge for oxygen. They can hire pilots right
out of Vending Machine Refill Person School. They can conserve fuel by
ejecting husky passengers over water. They can ram competing planes in
mid-air. These innovations have resulted in tremendous cost savings which
have been passed along to you, the consumer, in the form of flights with
amazingly low fares, such as $29. Of course, certain restrictions do apply,
the main one being that all these flights take you to Newark, and you must
pay thousands of dollars if you want to fly back out.
